👨🏽💻 How to Add GIF to your README.md
In this post I will share with you two programs that I recommend for a quick and easy way to capture your screen and successfully add it to your project’s README.
At the time of writing this post ShareX is only supported in Windows (versions: 10, 8.1 and 7).
Features:
~ Intuitive and Lightweight: I used it for my personal project, the IU is incredibly straightforward, with an inkling of a modern look.
~ Fast and responsive: with a number shortcuts which allows you to capture a specific window or any part of the screen, with an option to delay the screen for up to 5 seconds until you can launch your application. ShareX also does NOT show any ads!
LightShot is an alternative for ShareX, possibly just as good if not better. A cool feature found in LightShot is the reverse image google search, which allows you to look for similar images in Google, I can’t find a use for it myself but it is something someone may want to try. It is available for free in Windows and Mac - there is also a chrome plugin!
Finally to post it in GitHub, copy this to your README:
